The beaches of Penang offer stretches of golden sands, crystal blue sea and coves with clusters of rocks. A range of beachfront resorts of famous international chains line the shore of Tanjung Bungah.
Some resorts provide sea adventure facilities such as parasailing, windsurfing and water-skiing. comes alive after sunset as most of the nightclubs and karaoke bars are here. Delightful hawker food can also be found at the Fettes Parkresidential area.
Then there is Batu Ferringhi.Apart from its beautiful beaches, this spot offers delicious local and international food and souvenir shops. Teluk Bahang
is situated at the extreme northwest corner of the island, hence its past name The End of the World
Traveling west along the coastal road, away from Tanjung Bungah. A low lying area with a sweeping stand and casuarinas, it is the most famous of Penang's beaches. Several hotels of international standard may be found along its
shoreline. Here guests have many sporting activities to choose from, such as parasailing, jet skiing, wind surfing and water skiing. Dining is a delight with near by restaurants offering a variety of seafood, local, Continental and Asian dishes. The road show is also lined with numerous stalls selling handicrafts and souvenirs.
Off share from Batu Ferringhi are the deserted island of Pulau Bidan, Pulau Telur and Pulau Song Song. The crystal clear waters around these coral island are ideals for swimming, snorkeling, cscurba diving and fishing. Most of the beach hotels offer sea cruises to these islands.
This popular stretch of beach is famous for its range of 4 and 5 star hotels lining the beach. However, there is also a good choice of backpacker's places.
