We are proud to inform you that our Community Centre extended from Rumah Charis known Rumah Charis Community Point (RCCP) located in Petaling Jaya is organizing a
Carnival Community 2005 with the theme, <Toward a Progressive Community Progress with Your Help?>to be held on Saturday, 17th September 2005 from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm at the Kelana Jaya Park in Petaling Jaya. RCCP exists to provide some community help, resources and facilities to the public in general.
Last year in February RCCP started off a Senior Citizen Club known as Very Strong Old People (V.S.O.P) Club located at Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya. The club
which is picking up momentum, has seniors from around the community joining in the regular activities and events organized occasionally. Our monthly health talks have attracted and benefited many of the seniors with different topics relevant to our seniors.
Our Immediate Project at hand
In order to further benefit and help our seniors to attain a healthy and meaningful lifestyle, we have plans to extend our club house to provide better
and improvised facilities. We hope with the extension more seniors can join us regularly for activities that would help them overcome their sometimes lonely and mediocre way of living that is most typical of seniors in their old age.
In conjunction with the expansion of our club facilities, a bread making project is being planned simultaneously. Together with Rumah Charis Children Home, this
project serves to help our youths to acquire a living skill. Through this kind of vocational training and skill, the youths will have a chance to learn how to be independent to earn a living in this urbane society.
The Carnival Community 2005
The Carnival day will be a fun filled day open to members of the public with no entrance charge. The Carnival will feature numerous stalls offering a wide
variety of food and beverages and games for all ages. Sale of the coupons for use by the public on that day will commence by June 2005. Be a partner with us in putting together this Carnival Community 2005.
