OBJECTIVE
1. Raise RM200,000 for Project Fund
The main objective is to provide Lions Club of CyberCare Kuala Lumpur (LCCKL) with an avenue to raise funds to ensure sustainability of the development programs for underprivileged children. Every year, LCCKL work hard to secure sponsorships from corporate sponsors and at the same time seek to raise public awareness of importance to bridge the digital divide among underprivileged children from its network of 90 Homes throughout Malaysia.
Funds raised from corporate and individual projects are strictly accounted for, and spent carefully development projects such as its e-Workshops, Leadership Camps, Scholarship Excellence and Youth Leadership Mentoring signature programs. These projects are specially designed for the children and administered over a period of time to suit and to ensure the children抯 developmental progress over time, bringing them from early to late teens.
Each year, it is estimated that LCCKL requires minimum of RM250,000 per annum to run all its signature programs. For this inaugural project LCCKL is targeting to raise RM200,000 for its Year 2005 project funding.
2. Raise the PublicAwareness to community service
The event will serve as a great venue to raise the public抯 awareness to work in community service. The general public can enjoy a day of family outing while contributing to meaningful charity cause. In addition, it will be a day where children from Homes under the CyberCare program, LION抯 volunteers, sponsors and other
communities meet and have fun.
