Situated in the region of
Cameron Highland, Gunung Yong
Belar provides one of the best treks
around in Malaysia. The starting point
of the trek is at the end of Cameron
Highland and is already at a high level
ground. Therefore not much ascent has to
be made to reach the summit. On the way
down from the summit, a spectacular view
of different vegetations in the
highland. It is typical for hikers to
stop at one of the orange plantation to
bring back some oranges from souvenirs
or to obey their hunger.

How to get there:
From Pudu Raya Bus Terminal (Kuala
Lumpur), take a express coach to Tanah
Rata, Cameron Highland. From Tanah Rata,
take a bus to Kampung Raja. From Kampung
Raja hitch hike to Blue Valley. The
starting trek is about 3 km walk from
Blue Valley settlement.
Mountain Guides:
Not compulsory. It is advisable to have
a climbing mate.
