It is with great pleasure that I welcome all to the official portal of Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd. Let us give thanks and praise to Allah SWT for sustaining and subsequently ushering us into a new quest in collaborating a pivotal role in the contribution of a successful tourism industry in Selangor.

Tourism is not only a fast expanding global industry, but also a bridge that brings closer cultures and civilizations. Indeed, tourism is a vibrant industry that generates wealth and brings closer people from different religions and cultures. It encourages mutual understanding between different races and ethnicities and therefore it creates ties, thus Selangor is seen as a tourist destination.

Let’s begin this new embarkation with a brighter future. This move is a posititive initiative in creating greater awareness and understanding in luring tourists to Selangor. With all our might, TSSB will play an important role and do everything possible to improve tourism industry and in order to achieve this noble goal, TSSB requires strong services in order to work closely with relevant parties, therefore we must work together and unite in support of each other for the development and success of this industry.

Special thanks also go to both the public and private sectors for continuing to work in partnership that promotes healthy tourism development in Selangor. It is imperative, as we reach for the stars, for us to strive hard and make meaningful contribution to “Rediscover Selangor”.

I am sure visitors will encounter a kaleidoscope of festivals, traditions and cultural festivities while enjoying Selangor’s diverse natural attractions, therefore I invite and welcome you to join us in rediscovering Selangor.

Salam Sejahtera and Greetings. Welcome to the official portal of Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd (TSSB).

Until just 25 years ago, Selangor was little more than a rubber and palm oil plantation. But in the late 70s, a massive building programme spawned a well-developed infrastructure and a rapidly growing population.
The state of Selangor is now known as the most highly developed and advanced state in Malaysia.

Selangor have proved to be a model state, a great influence and a major contributor to the country’s economic growth in development and infrastructure facilities.

Rich in history and culture, Selangor is a major gateway to Malaysia. The state of Selangor is seen as one of the leading and most developed state for it has all the necessary components, well-developed and integrated infrastructure and utilities network. It is a state with abundance trade opportunities and its doors are constantly open and welcome investors who wish to grasp an exciting economic opportunity. Selangor displays an array of world class airports and seaports as well as modern expressways. Cyberjaya, which is the premier ICT center in Malaysia, is located in Selangor. In addition, the federal government administrative centre, also known as Putrajaya, and the renowned Sepang F1 circuit are also situated in the state of Selangor.

Selangor is blessed with many interesting historical and natural attractions. Along with this, greater emphasis will be thus placed on home grown assets ranging from home stays to ecotourism. Many beaches in Selangor have been identified as potential areas for tourism development and developing convenient beach resorts within easy reach of the capital, Kuala Lumpur. It is also dominated by fishing villages on the coast and the Kampung or villages inland. It is also famous for the extraordinary lime stone caves. Heritage Tourism must also be considered as Selangor has many heritage sites

In all it is a process of returning to the core basic fundamentals of the tourism industry for the mutual benefit of all and the Selangor State Government will be committed in improving and developing the tourism sector particularly in eco-tourism and heritage tourism.
